Another glitter has joined my sparkly polish family. Sequin Explosion is filled with chunks of blue, pink, green & silver holographic pieces and fine speckles of glitter. The glitter appears more subtle than some of the other glitters I own, like Carnival or Models Own Mirrorball (cringe cringe cringe at my old posts), & I actually prefer the slightly toned down glitter look! I like the sleek, simple look of the L'Oreal polishes too, a tall rectangle glass bottle & golden lid with no text. I think it makes them appear more expensive & classy. I'm pretty sure this is a new polish as I can barely find anything about it online & I bought it from Boots yesterday on offer for £3.99 but it's not on their website yet & it's out of stock on the Superdrug site. I'm a big fan of glitter nails because as much as I love nail art & am capable of creating a few designs myself I just never have the time to sit down & do it anymore!

wednesday wishlist #10

one | two | three | four | five | six | seven

Little bit obsessed with River Island & their incredible shoe collection at the moment, I'm in love with the chunky heel & cut out style at the moment! I've been trying to hunt down at least one of them in a size 3 but had absolutely zero luck, wah! Another obsession of mine at the moment is 'midi' rings & I forever wish my hat collection was more fabulous. The Fifi Lapin Cupcake iPhone case is so adorable & after I had ANOTHER (seriously unlucky guiz) iPhone stolen in May I'm yet to find a case for my replacement iPhone! I think the Breton Striped top would love perfect with my dungaree dress I recently picked up or just teamed with a pair of black skinnies & moccasins if I was feeling particularly French! I dunno, I just like wearing stripes at the moment & oversized stuff is so comfortable to wear, but also kinda stylish at the moment - perfect! Finally I really want to buy the Rich & Foamous body wash by S&G, it smells h e a v e n l y. Perhaps when I eventually finish one of my other shower gels I can allow myself to purchase it!

bourjois 3 for 2 at boots

I spied a 3 for 2 offer on Bourjois products at Boots & I couldn't resist. The three things I've chosen are all influenced by other bloggers especially the lip crayon - I swear I've read about 2083298 reviews of them! I bought the chocolate bronzer as I'm a n00b to bronzing products, being pale I didn't ever consider using one but I decided to go ahead & try it anyway. Finally the 1 seconde nail polish, another product that has been all over the blogosphere. I really didn't need to buy another blue shade of polish but I was just drawn to 'Blue on Blues', I love turquoise/mint/blue on my nails!

What's your fave Bourjois product?

vo5 hot oil give me moisture in-shower treatment

I loooooove this stuff SO so so much, my hair is incredibly thankful for this gem of a product. At first it feels horrible when you add to your hair, well for me anyway. The magic happens once you begin shampooing, your hair becomes the silkiest thing ever, literally softer than silk it's so nice. My hair is pretty dry & damaged from years of dying & straightening & ever since Lily raved about it in her monthly fave videos I've been hooked on this product. I use it every couple of weeks & every time I use it I'm still amazed at the results. It's like a temporary fix for my split ends & frizzy hair  because the split ends almost all disappear & my hair is ALOT easier to deal with! My hair winds me up so much, it doesn't help that the hairdresser has wrecked it by cutting it all the same length rather than thin it out & chop in my usual layers but still this oil has saved my life... haha okay maybe I'm being dramatic but when I'm fed up of my hair I know I can use this & it'll help me feel better about it! I can't find this bottle online Boots/Superdrug but I've seen it in store & I've also noticed they do 4x mini versions of it as well. I get about 5 uses out of the bottle, sometimes more if I use it sparingly. I'm really desperate to get my hair into a healthy more manageable condition, I often try heat bans where I don't use a hair dryer or straighteners for a few weeks but I think I'm going to invest in some more hair masks & a proper hair cut soon...

sunday post

A little short but sweet summary of my Sunday. Tomorrow my Dad & little Brother are heading back to Turkey so we spent the day car shopping as my Dad knows best! We didn't have much luck though so have decided not to rush into anything for now. I also spotted Boots whilst we were out & I couldn't resist the 3 for 2 offer on Bourjois so picked up a few new products to try out. The rest of the day we enjoyed lots of coffee & went to the carvery down the road for a Sunday roast which was yum. I'm so so sad to see my family leaving, it's something I find really hard to deal with as I'm a massive daddy's girl & my little brother is my whole world. I'm just grateful I get to see them when I do but I still wish I could see them daily!

the breakfast club - spitalfields

A good few months ago now Dom & I decided to finally visit The Breakfast Club & see what all the fuss was about & it certainly lived up to its expectations & more!

When we arrived at the Spitalfields branch we expected to be stood in a queue for at least half an hour, going by what we had heard anyway but to our surprise there was absolutely no waiting time. That was possibly because we went at a really odd time of the day at like 3pm or something because we are forever late to anything & it's perfectly acceptable to eat breakfast in late afternoon right!?

I opted for the fruit pancakes, without cream (yuk!) & a latte whilst Dom chose 'The All American' which consisted of eggs, bacon, fried potatoes, streaky bacon, pancakes & maple syrup along with a mug of tea. I can't even tell you how good the pancakes were, like seriously I wish I could eat them every single day. They were perfectly fluffy & sweet but not too sweet & honestly just so delicious.

The cafe itself was filled with vintage memorabilia, mismatched tables & chairs giving it a true 80's vibe. I didn't get any good photos of inside really as I only had my iPhone & lighting is quite dull so because I'm no pro at photography I decided it wasn't worth the hassle but have a little google & you'll see what I mean! Plus I was too busy soaking up the atmosphere, listening to The Black Keys & enjoying my pancakes!

I really enjoy sharing these little lifestyle posts on my blog & they will probably become more of a regular feature. I'm one of those people who loves to look back on what I got up to so it's a perfect way to document these moments (:

Have you ever been to The Breakfast Club?

MAC paint pot | bare study

(MAC have sneaked their prices up again, I definitely didn't pay that much!)

These little glass pots of cream eyeshadows are absolutely perfect for someone like me who is pretty clueless when it comes to applying eyeshadows, no matter how many YouTube tutorials I watch I can never achieve nicely applied eyeshadow... one day I will master the smokey eye look! MAC Paint Pots claim to be 'a highly pigmented eye colour that goes on creamy but dries to an intense, vibrant finish'.

Bare Study is a shimmery beige, champagne kinda colour in a frost finish. I use my finger to apply this as the heat warms the product up making it easier to put on to my eyelid. I don't do any special techniques I simply rub it all over my eyelid & voila! Although I will say it gets a little bit awkward to blend or remove once it's dried so I apply a little bit & build it up if necessary, rather than cake a load on & then be stuck with overly shimmery eyelids. I quite like using this on its own along with flicked eyeliner but I can see this being a lovely base to build on if you're more of an expert in the eyeshadow world!

I know there are lots of cream eyeshadows available on the high street & I've heard the Maybelline Colour Tattoos are really good dupes, so I'm going to have a look at these next before I invest anymore money on another MAC one! What is your favourite shade & what other dupes are available for me to have a look at?
