new beauty bits

I'm always trying out new beauty products & welcoming them to my already out of control stash, but being a beauty blogger my obsession is acceptable... right!? A lot of the time I never get round to featuring new products, basically because I'm the most unorganised blogger to exist so I've decided to start a new series on my blog which gives me the opportunity to share my first impressions of any new things that join my collection.

First up is Boots Botanics All Bright Purifying Face Scrub, Boots Botanics range is my favourite drugstore skincare brand, I've never used a product from them that I didn't like. I know some people say scrubs with beads can be quite damaging to your skin but I've never had a problem with them in the past & the other types of exfoliants never make my skin feel as soft or smooth. The reason I really like this one is because the beads aren't harsh at all but I can really feel a difference after using it. I've had some dry skin patches around my forehead recently & after using this scrub it's all been buffed away ready for moisturiser to be applied.

The second product that has joined my haircare products is the Lee Stafford Frizz OFF Keratin Spray*. Frizzy hair is literally the bane of my life, often I spend around an hour blow drying & straightening my hair for it to be back to it's former frizzy self in a matter of hours. It's such a battle trying to keep it tame but this keratin spray is pretty much a miracle product in my eyes! I used it on Friday & I haven't had to straighten my hair since, it's remained straight & has turned into a frizzy mess, yay! It has the best smell ever too, I can't really describe it but it's a girly sweet kinda scent that hangs around all day which is a bonus!

And, last but certainly not least Makeup Revolution Blush Sticks* have been the most exciting arrival this week! I'm still trying them out so I'll probably post a more in depth review soon but I'm impressed that MUR have brought out each shade in two formulas, matte & bold. They're also a multi-use product & can be applied to lips too, there are lots of pretty shades to choose from so there is definitely a shade to suit everyone!

  1. I really need to try that Lee Stafford spray, I used their shampoo and conditioner which was really good but it is a very pricey brand. I swapped face scrubs for a Rio Sonicleanse exfoliator and after a year of using it, I think it's paid for itself.

  8. I really want to try out more MUR stuff - it's so cheap, there's no excuse not too! If their blush sticks are anywhere near as good as their blush lacquers, I'm sure I could get hooked!

  9. These look so, so stunning. They are not something I would buy from NARS as I'm a little unsure about the format, but this as a cheaper alternative I would definitely try out.
